The short version

This site has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies.
Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosts, Cloudflare may process standard request data (such as IP address and time) to deliver and protect the site.
Outbound links go to third-party sites with their own privacy policies.

You can vote tools up or down without an account. We keep this anonymous:

In your browser: your own votes are remembered in your browser's local storage (key ss-votes), so you can change or remove them. This stays on your device and is never sent to us as a list. Clear your site data to remove it.
On our side: we store only the total score for each tool (for example "GNSS tool X: 12"). We don't store who voted or how.
Abuse limit: to stop one person flooding votes, each vote request's IP address is combined with a secret value and turned into a one-way hash (SHA-256). We keep only a counter against that hash, and it is deleted automatically after about an hour. The IP address itself is never stored, and the hash can't be turned back into it.
We don't use votes for profiling, advertising or anything else, and votes never change the suggested order of tools.

If you sign up, your email address is only used to send the monthly newsletter, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Newsletter emails are sent using Kit (kit.com), which stores subscriber email addresses on our behalf. Sign-up uses double opt-in, so nothing is sent until you confirm. See Kit's privacy policy.
If you email us (for example to submit a tool), we use your email only to reply and to check the tool.
